Backup kode template HTML merupakan salah satu cara yang umum digunakan untuk mengembalikan template HTML kita ke kondisi awal sebelumnya, akan tetapi ada kalanya kita lupa melakukannya, dan akibatnya hilanglah hasil kerja keras modifikasi template kita. Apabila ini yang terjadi maka terpaksalah kita mengembalikan tampilan blog kita ke template asli bawaan Blogger, dengan resiko kehilangan hasil modifikasi template yang pernah kita buat. Itu jauh lebih baik daripada kehilangan Blog kita (tidak bisa ditampilkan), karena yang paling berharga dalam Blog adalah content alias postingannya.
Apabila berbagai cara telah anda lakukan dan masih gagal juga. Berikut ini adalah kode template HTML blogger kita pada saat pertama kali kita membuat blog di Blogger. Saya berharap anda tidak pernah menggunakan kode HTML di bawah ini, tetapi jika terpaksa caranya adalah :
1. Log in ke Blogger anda.
2.Di dalam Dashboard pilihlah Layout, kemudian Edit HTML.
3. Backuplah terlebih dahulu dengan meng-click download full template di bawah Backup/Restore Template, untuk berjaga-jaga.
4. Pada Edit Template centanglah Expand Widget Template.
5. Hapus semua kode HTML di dalamnya dan gantilah dengan script kode di bawah ini.
